We believe that the right way to get your mobility or assistive devise is to depend on the knowledge of real experts who you can consult with face to face. Ideally the process starts with you contacting us and describing your situation and asking the questions that you have. We like to take the time to understand your needs and answer your question during this first contact. From there we schedule an evaluation of you and your environment. We come to your home to conduct the evaluation usually unless this is not ideal for you. We encourage family members, care givers and anyone else you want involved in the process to be present because they will be able to give us valuable information about the situation that will aid us in making the best recommendations. The evaluation consists of taking measurement of you and your environment as it relates to your new equipment, listening to everyone’s input, answering everyone’s question and making a final recommendation. This usually takes between 45 minutes and a couple of hours. Understanding as much as we can about you, your situation, your environment, your wants, your needs and your expectations guides us in selecting the very best recommendation for you. We do not believe that any of the equipment we sell can be best selected any other way. From there we place the order with the manufacturer you have selected. Depending on the equipment ordered we generally receive your new equipment within 3-6 days. We then carefully inspect, assemble and safety test your new equipment. In the case of power mobility devises we also perform what is called “battery conditioning.” This is a process that if done initially and properly can double the life of your batteries and saves you hundreds of dollars in battery replacement costs. Once your equipment is ready we schedule the delivery appointment. During the delivery we adjust all of the fitting parameters of the equipment to fit you exactly. We cover usage and care instructions and practice with you on the operation of your equipment until you are comfortable and safe in using it. We like to schedule a free follow up visit to make any adjustments that you may discover you want within the first 2 weeks of your initial delivery. Beyond that we hope to see you in the years to come in performing maintenance, adjustment and answering any question you may have. Providing your new equipment is just the beginning of a relationship we hope lasts a lifetime.
